Sage Wolf
This Dark-coated Wolf is moving through the sage on the hunt for a meal to bring to the pack.

Ambling Black Bear
Bears spend their waking months searching the Park for food, during the day and night.

Nanny and Kid Mountain Goat
Balancing on the edge of the rock, this pair is looking out from Sepulcher Peak in the Northwest corner of the Park.

Young Grizzly Bear
A grizzly cub is standing on its back legs to get a view over the meadow grass.

Napping Wolves
These white-coated Wolves are napping in a mountain meadow.

Yellow-Bellied Marmot
This Marmot is sampling some of the grass outside of his rocky home.

Young Otter
Young Otters are the restless clowns of the Park rivers, often wrestling with their siblings on the banks and jumping on their parents.

River Otter
River Otters are found in the streams and rivers in the Park. During the Winter, their presence is indicated by the snow slides they use to travel around the stream banks.

Pronghorn Antelope
These handsome speedsters can be seen in the drier grasslands of the Park, especially near Roosevelt and the Lamar Valley

Winter Bison
Male Bison survive the Winter by using their massive heads to move the snow and get to the grasses beneath.

Pika
Pikas live in the Park's tumbledown rockslides. They are usually heard before seen by their squeaks and chirps. Silver Gate, south of Mammoth Hot Springs, is a great place to watch them scamper about.

Grey Wolf
Rarely do Park visitors get a close view of Wolves. They are usually seen from a distance while moving to find food.

Jumping Fox
Foxes and Coyotes spring into the air and dive nose-first into the snow to catch voles and mice moving under the snow.

Sunset Elk
Male Elk are one of the most popular animals in the Park. During the Fall, they bugle to attract mates and can be heard for miles. Mammoth Hot Springs has a resident herd that lounges around the buildings on the lawns.

Resting River Otters
These Otters are resting on a rock in the Yellowstone River.
